Nedbank Copilot Agent-a-thon 2026 Participation

Issued by Otinga.io

Awarded to everyone who took part in the Nedbank Copilot Agent-a-thon 2026, held at the Nedbank Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 21 July 2026. Holders completed the pre-event upskilling on Microsoft Copilot Studio and Copilot Agent Builder, then gave a full day to building a working Copilot agent and pitching it to a judging panel. Most built in teams, and a few backed themselves and built alone. There was no set brief. Everyone found their own problem worth solving and built for it, inside clear responsible-AI guardrails. That is what a good hackathon gives people: a focused space to experiment, learn from each other, and take real AI skills back to the day job. To innovate is human, and it is a great deal more fun in good company.

    • Registered for and attended the Nedbank Copilot Agent-a-thon 2026 in person at the Nedbank Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
    • Gave the whole day to it, from the welcome and technology briefing through to the pitches and the awards.
  • Ready Before the Day
    • Completed the pre-event upskilling sessions on Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft Copilot Agent Builder.
    • Arrived ready to build, rather than starting from scratch on the morning.

    • Helped design or build an agent using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Copilot Agent Builder or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
    • Contributed to the configuration, grounding, prototyping and problem-solving during the build session.
  • Backed Yourself and Each Other
    • Brought effort, ideas and good humour to a very short build window, whether working in a team or on their own.
    • Drew on the mentors and coaches from Microsoft and NTT Data, and used the Otinga platform to organise and submit the work.
  • Put the Work Up for Judging
    • Submitted an agent, or a credible design where the integrations could not be finished, before the deadline.
    • Pitched it to the judging panel and took the feedback that came with it.
